Common Mistakes That Lead to Rejection

Even if you meet the basic eligibility requirements, mistakes in the application or supporting documents can create problems during the recruitment process.

  1. Selecting the Wrong Category

Do not claim SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD or any other category unless you meet the prescribed conditions and possess the required certificate.

  1. Using an Invalid Certificate

Category and reservation certificates must satisfy the format, date and validity requirements specified in the notification.

  1. Entering Incorrect Personal Information

Details such as name, date of birth, category and educational qualifications should be entered exactly as they appear in the relevant official documents.

  1. Ignoring the Local Language Requirement

Candidates applying for an RRB should check whether they meet the prescribed local-language requirement.

  1. Applying Without Checking the Post-Specific Qualification

Eligibility for Office Assistant and Officer Scale I is different from that of Officer Scale II and Scale III. Specialist positions may require specific qualifications and professional experience.

  1. Assuming Provisional Allotment Guarantees Appointment

Clearing the recruitment process or receiving provisional allotment does not automatically guarantee final appointment. Candidates must satisfy the applicable document verification, medical and other joining requirements prescribed by the concerned RRB.
